SKIING THE VOLCANOS IN CHILE
Trip Overview
Experience the thrill of skiing on some of Chile's most iconic volcanoes. This 8-day adventure, based out of Pucon and Temuco, takes you to the majestic slopes of Osorno, Villarrica, Llaima, Lonquimay, Lanin, and other volcanoes as conditions permit. Guided by an AMGA Certified Ski Guide, you'll explore diverse terrains, enjoy stunning views, and immerse yourself in the rich culture of Chile. This trip is designed for advanced to expert skiers looking for a challenging and unforgettable backcountry experience.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Temuco
Arrive at Temuco Airport (ZCO) and transfer to your accommodation in Pucon.
Evening welcome dinner and trip briefing with your guide.
Day 2: Villarrica Volcano (if open and safe)
Morning transfer to Villarrica National Park.
Full day of skiing on Villarrica Volcano.
Utilization of chairlifts to limit amount of hiking required.
Return to Pucon for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Osorno Volcano
Early departure for a scenic drive to Osorno Volcano.
Ski the stunning slopes of Osorno with panoramic views of the Andes.
Overnight stay in Puerto Varas.
Day 4: Lanin Volcano
Ski the slopes of Lanin Volcano.
Full day of skiing, then return to Pucon for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Rest/Weather Day
Optional activities: hot springs, local cultural tours, or a relaxed day exploring Pucon.
Evening briefing for the next day's plans.
Day 6: Llaima Volcano
Head to Conguillio National Park to ski Llaima Volcano.
Enjoy varied terrain and pristine snow conditions.
Return to Pucon for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Lonquimay Volcano
Drive to Corralco Ski Resort and ski the Lonquimay Volcano.
Experience the unique volcanic landscape and challenging runs.
Return to Pucon for a farewell dinner.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer back to Temuco Airport for your flight home.

International and domestic airfare to/from Temuco.

Additional Information
Participants must be advanced to expert skiers with touring experience. For this trip we recommend our participants be in good shape as many days involve 2500-4000’ of climbing and skinning. All participants are required to bring personal touring gear and avalanche safety equipment. A detailed gear list will be provided upon booking.
